IT & Cybersecurity

Versatile IT student with a strong start in network administration, systems integration, and hands‑on technology projects.

About Me

I’m currently working toward my Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity at Austin Community College, where I’ve maintained a 4.0 GPA since returning to school in August of 2023. Coming from a background in customer service and sales, I’ve learned how to communicate clearly and work effectively in team environments. Growing up with an entrepreneurial mom taught me the value of hard work, resilience, and staying adaptable. I bring initiative and a positive mindset into everything I take on and I’m always looking for ways to grow. Since returning to school I have stayed committed to building the skills that will allow me to make a meaningful impact in this field. Outside of classes, I like to: Go to the gym, fly FPV drones, 3d print random things, and build PCs for my friends. I also like working on CTFs and home lab projects to strengthen my security knowledge and skills. Here are a few technologies I've been working with recently:
  • Kali | SUSE | Ubuntu | Ubuntu Server
  • AWS | Azure | Google Cloud
  • VMWare | Virtual Box | Hyper-V
  • Python | HTML / CSS | JSON | JavaScript
  • Bash | PowerShell | Cisco IOS

Experience

Automation Engineer Internship - Automation Rabbit
May 2025 - Aug 2025
At Automation Rabbit in Austin, TX, I collaborated with the tech team to build and maintain AI-driven automation workflows using n8n, Vapi, and multiple SaaS integrations. I gained hands-on experience in API configuration, JSON data formatting, and LLM prompt engineering while troubleshooting API errors and broken integrations. I contributed to client landing pages and internal workflows, and also developed personal automation projects such as an AI video clip generator and automated social posting tools.
IT Technician Internship - Dyezz Surveillance
Jan 2025 - May 2025
At Dyezz Surveillance and Security in Pflugerville, TX, I supported the IT team in maintaining surveillance infrastructure, configuring routers, managing DNS, and preparing DVR/NVR systems. I troubleshooted networking issues and analyzed systems using tools like Nmap, Wireshark, PowerShell, and SADP, gaining valuable hands-on experience across IT and network technologies.
Cybersecurity Internship - Hurley Piano
Jan 2025 - May 2025
At Hurley Piano in Austin, TX, I designed and implemented a complete security infrastructure from the ground up. With no existing IT or cybersecurity systems in place, I secured the company’s WordPress site, hardened its cloud services, and ran vulnerability assessments. This role sharpened my skills in system hardening, web security, and independent problem-solving.
Sales/Leasing Consultant - Vanguard Volkswagen
Jan 2023 - July 2023
At Vanguard Volkswagen in Austin, TX, I applied a customer-focused approach to help clients find the right vehicle solutions while staying informed on Volkswagen inventory and industry pricing trends. I initiated contact with prospective buyers, negotiated terms, and finalized lease and purchase agreements. I contributed to overall dealership success by meeting individual sales targets and assisting with promotional strategies.
Sales/Leasing Consultant - Town North Nissan
Jan 2022 - Jan 2023
At Town North Nissan in Austin, TX, I developed a strong foundation in automotive sales by gaining in-depth knowledge of Nissan vehicles, market trends, and competitor offerings. I regularly engaged with new leads, negotiated pricing and financing options, and guided clients through the full purchasing process. My performance consistently supported the team’s monthly sales objectives and customer satisfaction goals.

Advanced CPU Overclocking & Silicon Tuning Project
This project showcases my ability to optimize an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D through advanced BIOS tuning, per-core Curve Optimizer offsets, and Precision Boost Overdrive adjustments. I focused on identifying golden and silver cores, managing Windows scheduler behavior between the cache and frequency CCDs, and balancing aggressive undervolts with long-term stability. Key challenges included hidden BIOS options, scheduler misalignment, and ensuring weaker cores did not limit stability. Through iterative testing with Cinebench, HWInfo64, and Ryzen Master, I achieved sustained boosts up to 5.7 GHz, stable CO offsets as deep as –27, and benchmark results that outperform most stock systems: 1942 in Cinebench R23 single-core and 1970 in Cinebench R24 multi-core, placing this CPU in the top 10% of its class.

SOHO Network Segmentation & Security Project
This project demonstrates the process of transforming a typical small office/home office (SOHO) network into a segmented, enterprise-style environment. Using a combination of a broadband gateway, managed switches, and network-attached storage, I designed and configured VLANs, routing, and security controls to separate personal, work, and lab traffic. Goals 1) Improve security by isolating devices into their own network zones. 2) Create a realistic lab environment for hands-on practice with professional networking and cybersecurity concepts. The setup includes proper VLAN segmentation, inter-VLAN routing, firewall rules, and shared resource access (e.g., a printer and NAS). All devices maintain internet connectivity while enforcing clear security boundaries. This mirrors how modern businesses secure and manage their networks, providing both practical functionality at home and a strong platform for certification study and professional growth.
Advanced Custom PC Build Project

Advanced Custom PC Build Project
This project showcases my ability to design, source, and assemble a high-performance custom workstation from individually selected components. I engineered the build to balance raw computational power with efficient thermal management and future scalability. The system features top-tier hardware, including AMD’s Ryzen 9 processor, DDR5 memory, Gen5 NVMe storage, and NVIDIA’s RTX 5080 GPU, housed in a modern airflow-optimized chassis. Careful attention was given to cable management, cooling design, and power delivery to ensure long-term stability under heavy workloads. Beyond assembling parts, I focused on compatibility research, BIOS tuning, and performance optimization, achieving a professional-grade machine suitable for virtualization, content creation, gaming, and advanced cybersecurity lab work. This build represents the culmination of my experience in PC building, combining both technical precision and aesthetic design.
